The Data Incubator (TDI) is dedicated to providing a harassment-free learning environment and community for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body type, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or anything else.
All communication at TDI, both in person and online, should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Be careful in the words that you choose. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other program participants. Remember that sexist, racist, and other exclusionary jokes can hurt those around you and are not appropriate for TDI.
Behave professionally. This includes in communication with your peers, TDI hiring partners, TDI alumni, TDI staff, and other individuals sharing our space. The Data Incubator does not tolerate disruptive speech or harassment in any form. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion; sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation; stalking; following; harassing photography or recording; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. Harassment also includes slights and negative messages, both unintended and intentional, based solely on appearance.
We expect all participants to follow the Code of Conduct during the program. This includes during your time in the office, at after-hours events (both onsite and offsite), and in virtual interactions via Slack, email, GoToMeeting, and other channels.
Students asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. If a participant violates this code of conduct, TDI staff may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including removal from the program.
Thank you for helping make this a welcoming, friendly community for all.
